Jesus was in trouble with the Jewish authorities after they observed the things that he did. In the gospel Jesus is in trouble for doing “these things,” which are not detailed or explained. We can presume that it is the lifechanging, life-affirming things that got him in trouble. The sermon suggests that every church should be marked by the presence of the “Same things!”
